Hi everyone
Ya hay I had a FR146 back when I had my radio shop, I was looking for some type of receiver that would let me hear the road workers(street workers, IE pipe workers, construction workers) and one day I think I had an catalog or something like that and i ordered the 146 or I had the wife order it(my slave till the end hehehe)any ways I had a small radio shop ,we would work on ham equipment linear's amps etc...(cb radio's also)so the kit finally arrived via ups
and right from the beginning I knew some how I just received a GEM.
I opened up the kit after having a nice garlic shrimp dinner with fries and a salad ,any how i built the kit in my spare time which I really got to do in two hours, I think it was a sunday well any ways I put the battery in after making a really nice cradle for the battery and I switched on the radio and turned up the volume near full and bingo zambo !!! lots of chatter(talking)
everything from street workers to power pole workers etc... I could not believe my ears I was really excited and I wore that battery down shamefully bad.(hehehehe)
PS: you just can't beat the RAMSEY FR146 2 meter radio kit,it is joy unknown to mortals :)
