Fantastic Kit. More than what I expected. I thought this would be some dinky pattern generator, but it really does display a wide variety of patterns. Building this takes a long time; I spent six hours on it. The worst part is putting the mirrors onto the motors. To power the device use, 110VAC to 12VDC 500mA Power Supply, 2.1mm, center positive, Fits most Ramsey Kits, Model# AC125. It can be found on this website. It says the speaker modulates the pattern, but its not what your thinking. The speaker plays the music your playing and basically shakes up the pattern. It doesn't change it to another pattern. I thought it would but that's not the case. You use a simple RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack to add music. Just connect one RCA plug, that's all you need since you only have one speaker. To change the pattern, you turn the variable resistors. I wish the circuit would do it automatically with the music but it doesn't which means I have to find a way to mod this to my liking.
