This is the best thing I have ever bought. It includes the transmitter, receiver, and a 12V battery for the transmitter. It is very simple to use. Add 5V and connect to ground. No need to add andthing to the Data Valid pin; I don't even know what's it for. I connected a SCR that drives and LED to the D0 pin. I just press one of the transmitter buttons and boom, the LED turns on. I didn't even add an antenna yet and I'm getting a range of about 20 feet without the antenna. I will definetly purchase more of these. The great thing about the receiver is that the pins fit exactly into a breadboard, which makes testing that much more easy.
